A 5-Night Belize Group Itinerary at Casa Al Mar
Casa Al Mar is a private, fully-staffed island home on St. George's Caye, taken by one group of 8 to 14 at a time. Over five nights, a private boat, captain, and licensed guide shape the week into reef snorkeling, a Caye Caulker day, fishing and sandbar afternoons, and slow days at the house, with three chef-prepared meals a day. Arrival skips the domestic flight: 20 minutes from BZE to the Belize City dock, then 20 minutes by boat to the caye.
The boat, captain, and guide belong to your group for the whole stay, so the week bends to the weather and to what the group wants more of. The plan below is a starting point. You set it on the first evening with your host and chef, then shift days as you go.
Day 1: Arrival and Island Time
Arrive at Belize's International Airport (BZE), where your host greets you and coordinates the short transfer to Belize City. From there, board your private boat for the 20-minute ride to St. George's Caye, with no domestic flight and no second airport.
After settling into your island home, enjoy welcome cocktails and a short briefing with your host and chef to plan the final details of your week, then your first chef-prepared meal, a swim off the east dock, and your first Caribbean sunset.
Day 2: Snorkeling the Belize Barrier Reef
Spend the morning on the Belize Barrier Reef, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Most snorkel tours kick off around 9:00 am after everyone has finished breakfast. If you chose a later start time, that’s no problem either. The captain and licensed guide choose snorkel sites by the day's weather and visibility; several are just 15 to 20 minutes from the house by boat. Water, drinks, and snacks come along on every outing.
Return to the house for lunch, the afternoon stays open: kayaking, a hammock, or a walk around the caye, which is small enough to cross end to end before dinner. Dinner is served family-style in the main dining room.
Day 3: Caye Caulker
Spend your day at Caye Caulker, just about 35 minutes north of Casa Al Mar by boat.
On the way, you stop to snorkel coral gardens and swim with nurse sharks and rays.
After your snorkel you can explore the island and feed the tarpon on the west side, before the ride back to Casa Al Mar for sunset and dinner.
Day 4: Fishing and Sandbar Experiences
Everyday remains at your group's pace. Drop fishing or inner reef trolling from the boat in the morning. Many fishing grounds are within 20 minutes of the island.
Then a sandbar afternoon: just minutes from Casa Al Mar are some of Belize’s most beautiful hidden sandbars—shallow patches of crystal-clear Caribbean water where you can swim, relax, and soak up the sun. Some are even visible from the house balcony, while others are only a short 5–10 minute boat ride away. Sandbar trips include snacks and a bartender come out on the boat, so no one has to leave the water.
If the fishing goes your way, the chef can cook the catch for lunch or dinner.
Day 5: A Slow Island Day, or the Mainland
Day five goes one of two ways. Keep it slow: swim from the dock, paddle around the caye, a long lunch, time together, or a second run at the favorite day of the week OR head to the mainland for Altun Ha, cave tubing, ziplining, or the Belize Zoo. Those mainland trips are not included in the rate; the team arranges and coordinates them for you at a reasonable add-on cost.
In the evening, the front lawn is set for a farewell dinner under the stars, it’s one of the most memorable evenings of every trip.
Day 6: Departure
After a final breakfast overlooking the Caribbean Sea, the team coordinates your transfer back to Belize City and BZE for your journey home. Standard check-out time is 10:00 am, but if guests need to depart earlier, it can easily be arranged. For those who have later flights can add-on a mainland Belize City tour before heading to the airport. Our team can coordinate all of this for you.

How the Week Flexes
The boat, captain, and guide are yours all week, so the plan can be adjusted as needed. The first-evening briefing sets what each person wants most, and the days move from there: a group that loves fishing can fish more and snorkel less; a group with young kids and grandparents can keep the pace easy and stay close to the house. The order of the days is the group's to set.

How many nights do we need at Casa Al Mar?
Casa Al Mar has a five-night minimum, which is the length of this itinerary. A sixth or seventh night leaves more room for sandbar and reef days.
Can we change the itinerary once we arrive?
Yes. The plan is set on the first evening with your host and chef, but can shift as needed. The boat, captain, and licensed guide stay with your group all week, so the days move with the weather and the group.
How far is the reef from the house?
Several snorkel sites are 15 to 20 minutes from the dock by boat. Caye Caulker is about 35 minutes.
Is the boat private to our group?

Are meals and drinks included?
