A Belize Family Reunion Under One Roof
One House, One Island, Endless Time Together
Planning a family reunion can be challenging, especially when coordinating multiple generations, schedules, and interests. Casa Al Mar makes it easy by bringing everyone together in one fully staffed, 6-bedroom island home on St. George’s Caye, just 20 minutes by private boat from Belize City. Designed for groups of 8–14 guests, the house comfortably accommodates grandparents, parents, children, teens, cousins, and in-laws under one roof.
From the moment your family arrives, our team takes care of the details. A private chef plans meals around your group’s preferences, while your boat, captain, licensed guide, airport transfers, daily housekeeping, and island activities are all included. With no domestic flights to coordinate and plenty of opportunities for both adventure and relaxation, Casa Al Mar allows families to focus on what matters most—spending quality time together.
Everyone in the Same House
A family reunion split across resort rooms or separate villas turns into a logistics meeting. The grandparents are two buildings away from the babies. The siblings are on different schedules. The week becomes a group text trying to organize itself.
Casa Al Mar was designed to bring multiple generations together under one roof while still giving everyone space to relax and unwind. With six bedrooms spread across three floors, the home comfortably accommodates families of all ages, from grandparents and parents to children, teens, cousins, and in-laws.
For many families, the second floor is the heart of the house and the most convenient location for older guests and young children. It provides easy access to the main gathering areas, including the living room, dining room, bar, and ocean-view balcony, minimizing the need to navigate stairs throughout the day. Meanwhile, the first floor offers convenient access to the docks and outdoor spaces, while the upper floor provides additional privacy and sweeping views for guests who prefer a quieter retreat.
Reviews repeat the same line: "every detail was handled."

Dining for Every Generation
One of the advantages of staying at Casa Al Mar is that meals are planned specifically around your group before you arrive. Prior to your stay, we collect information about dietary needs, allergies, food preferences, children’s eating habits, and any Belizean dishes you’d particularly like to try. Your chef then creates meals for the week that balances local flavors, guest preferences, and the realities of sourcing ingredients on a small island.
Belizean, Maya, Mestizo, and Creole cuisine serves as the foundation of the dining experience, complemented by familiar favorites that appeal to a variety of ages and tastes.
Families with young children can let us know about preferred foods, meal schedules, and any special needs in advance. A highchair is available upon request.
Teens and selective eaters are considered during menu planning, with familiar options and approachable dishes incorporated throughout the week.
Older guests often appreciate the flexibility of family-style dining, and portion sizes or meal preferences can be adjusted when discussed ahead of time.
Dietary restrictions and allergies including vegetarian, pescatarian, gluten-free, dairy-free, and common allergies can generally be accommodated when communicated before arrival. Because Casa Al Mar is located on an island and ingredients are sourced in advance, strict medical allergies and specialty requests should be discussed during the booking process.
Meals are not prepared as an open restaurant menu, but rather as a thoughtfully planned dining experience. Once your week begins, our team remains flexible and attentive, making adjustments where possible while ensuring everyone can relax and enjoy gathering around the table together.
Activities for everyone in the group.
Included activities may include snorkeling, kayaking, reef fishing, island hopping, sandbar visits, and swimming off the east docks St. George’s Caye.
Families with young children appreciate the calm waters around the island, easy access to kayaks from the dock and a sandbox full of fun. The outdoor showers are also a favorite after a day outside.
Teens often enjoy the freedom of fishing, snorkeling, kayaking, and spending longer days exploring the surrounding islands and reefs. Wi-Fi is available throughout the house when they want to reconnect.
Older guests can choose their own pace, whether that means joining a short boat excursion, relaxing in a hammock, reading on the balcony, or simply enjoying the view while the rest of the group explores.
Groups with different interests can split up for the day. Some guests may head out on the boat while others stay back at the house, with everyone coming together again for cocktails, dinner, and sunset.
The goal is not to keep everyone on the same schedule, but to give every member of the group the flexibility to enjoy Belize in the way that suits them best.
